Your presidential like broadcast was needless – Jantuah tackles Alan

A former presidential staffer under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration P. V Dadson Boateng Jantuah has berated flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten for his presidential like address.

He laments Mr. Kyeremanten veered into areas that were needless and uncalled for as the address should have only focused on his reasons for resigning from Akufo-Addo’s government.

The former Trades and Industry Minister tendered his resignation, noting that even though President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is building a strong foundation, his government size was big adding that if he were in charge, certain things would have been done differently.

This Mr. Jantuah believes was not necessary since Mr. Kyeremanten was part of the government and could have pointed it to the president and not wait until he abandoned it.

“Alan’s speech in the first place was too long and loaded with needles information. He should have focused on reasons he left the government and not bad things about the government he refused to comment on, only to speak about the ills just after leaving government” he said.

“Politicians need to be bold and speak their mind when they are part of a government, that habit of waiting when things are bad before one speaks does not show love for family”, he observedHe maintains Mr. Kyeremanten missed a great opportunity, to possibly woo the votes of NPP delegates within his party.

“So now that Alan is talking about the wrongs in Nana Addo’s government, who will take him seriously? You stayed and was part of the mess for six years, how will the delegates believe you” he bemoaned.
